The Real Jerk (as our name suggests) will always strive to uphold the authenticity and tradition of Caribbean street food and will be the perfect option for your private or corporate functions, events and festivals as we offer an alternative to what is already available in the Melbourne Food Truck scene.
The Jerk Centre is our premier and first street food concept, you will find us at major events such as Queen Vic Summer Night Market & St Kilda Festival. Our Jerk Chicken is cooked over charcoal as its done back in Jamaica. We bring the caribbean vibe with us at all events with music to match our amazing food.
Cassava is a root vegetable native to South America and the West Indies but is cultivated all over Asia, South America, and Africa. Cassava (also known as tapioca, manioc and yuca) grows in arid conditions all year round, and needs very little water for cultivation.
Is inspired by a trend in Chinese street food and particularly Hot Pot! It has been designed for convenience in eating and also for the health conscious. We have various options to choose from as there could be seafood, vegetarian dishes such as bean curd etc. All items displayed and served on skewers making easy to eat on the go, while the others sit in a cup of tasty soup/gravy intensifying the flavour.
We are the newest and funkiest food stall in Melbourne, theme “Pirates of the Caribbean” . Our hero product being a whole squid on a stick which we serve grilled for the health conscious or crispy fried for the more adventurous. It’s tasty seafood, easy to eat and very Instagram friendly
